| Last night was Broccoli Slaw, Green Bell Pepper, Sweet Potato, Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes, Strawberries, Cantaloupe, and staple mix. Tonight, we are out of fresh fruits, so they get frozen blueberries instead of strawberries and cantaloupe. | |

| This has been an "off diet" weekend at Kingdom Kritters. Last night I served: Pomegranate cherry greek yogurt watermelon, blackberry, raspberry, apple, pineapple, fig, corn, peas, carrots, bok choy, celery, broccoli, green beans, bell pepper and a few pieces of the dry kibble I use. Tonight is chicken noodle soup night, served with carrots, spring mix, baby spinach, sugar snap peas, apple, persimmon, pear, grape, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon. | |

| We did a wonderful junk food night here. Chicken wings, pomegranate, coconut shreds, blueberries, apples, cantaloupe, asparagus, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, corn, carrots, pecans, and other random assorted yummy-ness. It was very quiet in that room last night. | |

| Tonight, along with their staple, we are having: Sugar Snap Peas Carrot Cucumber Sweet Potato Jicama Kale Pear
We will actually be switching our staple to VGV pretty soon - been wanting to for a while and recently found a store in town that likely carries everything we need for it. It's called Natural Grocers and is my new favorite store. Bought bee pollen, pine nuts, and some dog treats when we checked it out the first time. I'm thinking of buying some of our own groceries from there, as well as our dog's. :)

| Shawna, this was the first time I had added kale to the veggie mix and they really seemed to like it. Val, that is awesome and really good to know. I swear all I kept saying to Jeff as we walked around that store (along with "Wow! They have ___!") was "I bet I could get everything for Val's diet here!" I really was impressed with everything they had. | |

| We did junk food tonight. Scrambled eggs with chopped tomatoes, mixed veggies (frozen) and blueberries and strawberries for fruit. They LOVE cooked tomatoes, so I give them when I have time. | |

| We did junk food night the other night. They had scrambled egg, tuna, Taste of the Wild dog kibble, frozen mixed veggies, spinach, pepper strips, frozen bananas and strawberries. It was a hit, except one cage didn't seem to like the tuna...lol. | |

| Oh gosh, my kids devour tuna! Except we have to do it the night before cage cleaning, because the smell can be, um, bad. | |

| Yeah, I have learned that junk food night often is followed by cleaning the cage pan day...lol. | |

| I hate it when I feed them something stinky, then forget, and think they ate it all. Two days later, the glider room smells like something died, and I'll find a piece of food in their pouch or under a toy, that they "stored for later" GAG!
Tonight we're trying out some sunflower seeds in their eggs.

| Lol! Yep...not all of mine eat shrimp and that gets kind of stinky.
Sounds good! | |
