I am not a stickler about spelling or improper use of words, but in the medical forums I am going to ask that these things be considered, so please use spell check when you can, and please PLEASE consider the PROPER use of the following words:
Their, there and they're
Your and You're
Two, to and too
right and write
Breed and bred / inbreed & inbred
ANONYMITY
I believe in giving mature adults information and allowing them to make their own choices/decisions/opinions. In order to make a fully informed decision, one must be afforded ALL the information.
Secrecy, anonymity, and half-truths are just ways of withholding information. The Sweet Spot was created and exists for the sharing of information. As was stated in the very first post ever on this board, I believe that adults should be treated as such - this includes allowing them to think for themselves and to formulate their own opinions and make their own decisions. This, IMO, is a matter of respect. The members of The Sweet Spot deserve this respect, and we will do our very best to ensure they receive it.
Therefore, if one is not willing to disclose information, one should refrain from posting on THIS forum. There are plenty of places where you CAN post without sharing information.
The following are not allowed on The Sweet Spot:
1 - Anonymous posts - Either post under your screen name or don't post. Anonymous posts will be removed by our staff. The only exception will be emergency questions or requests for help in the medical forums, and those will be left to staff discretion.
2 - Posts made which withhold names in order to "protect" someone - NOPE. Either post the names, or your post will be removed. If you are not comfortable posting names, then please don't bring your issue to this board.
3 - Posts made to announce the formation or business of anonymous groups, secret committees, etc. - Either post the names of those involved or do not post on this board. In order for our members to make a decision regarding whether they will support such activities, they need to know WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and HOW. If you can't or won't post WHO, then do not make your announcement on this board. Any post omitting such information will be removed.
4 - Anonymous sources - We all know how reliable this is. So, again, if you can't tell us where you are getting your information, then we will consider your information invalid and invaluable to this board. Anonymous source postings will be removed.
5 - Blatant attempts to withhold valuable information - Again, information is valued here. If you are not willing to share information, then please do not bless us with your postings. Attempts such as this are viewed as disrespectful to the membership of this board and will not be allowed to remain.
MONITORING OF ANNOUNCEMENTS BY ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS
Any person or organization making an announcement or introduction of a community-wide program or service may post so long as the post adheres to all rules for posting on TSS.
Any such announcement/post must be monitored for questions by our members. The person or a representative of the organization making such post/announcement MUST return to this board a minimum of once every day for the 1st 7 days following the announcement/post to respond to questions and concerns of our members.
Any announcement or post NOT monitored every day by its author (be it person or organization), or in which questions go unanswered or ignored for 24 hours or more will be removed by administration.
