Sounds like you all are going to have fun with your skates! This is something I gave up a long time ago. ( I am very clumsy) But I will be there to cheer you on and run the emergency vehicle. Although I really hope we don't need it.

I do have safety gear. It's been about 4 years since I've been up on roller blades. Although...my parking lot is concrete, I could play around here! Let's do it! Brenda, you choose the team name.

I'm game!!! Lets get a few more, I will make some T-shirts!

You allhave fun skating and I will pop on down to FL and see Kate, Val and Anita while you practice. I am taking terieK so this should bea great road trip. :P neener neener neener

Thanks for the heads up. I gotta go buy a bigger bra in case we hit any pet shops. I'm also designing a hat for Ms. Nita. It's gonna have little pouches sewn all around it. I think it'll look good on her.

Although Florida is definitely going to be the most amazing place to be, there are some spectacular plans in place for ALL venues. Hurry up and register (and pay) to reserve your place for all the fun and learning.

If you wanted to come earlier, you could probably ride in with Shawna from Austin on Tuesday or Wednesday. Just a suggestion.

Right now the plan is to leave sometime Tuesday, but it's not set in stone. Let me know!

Jen and I will be leaving Good ole Wisconsin early Wednesday morning and hope to make it all the way to Amarillo that night but if something cool should pop up along the way...we may have to stop and check it out! Two girls just riding the highway, not a care in the world...yeah!

The gliders and I are leaving early Wednesday morning and probably staying that night in Kansas and should be in Amarillo sometime Thursday afternoon, I hope!

I can't wait. You guys just be sure to let me know how you are doing on your travels.

Oh gosh -- this thing is creeping right up..... Somehow I still thought we had another month! I guess it didn't occur to me that we're already at the end of Feb.

I still need to book my room! Hope that I'm not too late for that (especially as my flight and registration are already paid for)

Sadly, my mommy has informed me that she will not allow me to attend in my jammies as I will be on camera for much of the day and she would be "mortified if all the world saw you delivering a speech in your pajamas."

If you knew my mom, you would know she is probably not kidding. LOL.

Val -- what is the number for the Ashmore again?
The number that I got off of the website, and on the hotel information, seems to be inaccurate -- it keeps leading me to dead ends.

There was a fiber cut for all windstream communications outside of Amarillo, so many businesses cannot receive or make long distance phone calls. It is supposed to be fixed by now, but maybe not.

Anyway, the number I posted in our hotel information is the only one I have. I'm sending Chris (our event coordinator) a text to ask if there is a different number.

Okay. I tried again today, with no luck.. Not sure if it's my connection, or something.
Carrie was going to try today, so hopefully she had better luck.

I've sent an email to the hotel about it, and will hopefully hear back soon.

Starting to get really worried though.

I got through today so no worries!! They were very nice and still gave me the special rate!
Plus they informed me that there was a FREE happy hour on friday
