I can't believe how close this is getting! Start registering, people! I have roommates now, which will definitely help on the cost!

Booked my room this morning. I have extra bed in my room if anyone wants to share a room with me.
Now I just watch and see the airfares so i can get the best rate on flying.

I would take a COWBOY over a beach bum ANYDAY!!!..... just sayin'

For those that can fly Southwest- they just posted a huge sale on flights- you have to book by Thursday. One ways starting at $49.00 - that's $100.00 round trip!!

Dang that price doesn't work for me. Still $400 to fly to TX. Hoping it goes down next month.

Karen...drive over to me here in WI and tag along with us! Jen and I (and maybe Tami) are driving to TX. (yes I know...I still need to register) The more the merrier unless you are bringing fuzzbuts. I only say that because I have a little car and have just enough room for us and a couple of small suitcases.

Oh and... I like the smell of a cowpoke more than I like sand stuck between my toes (and anywhere else it might wind up)... sorry :(

I'm still comin' too, just haven't registered yet.
I found a pretty good flight so I'll probably make a decision on it in the next couple of days since the price may not last.

I just tried to buy my ticket on their website, but it's coming to over $1000,

Southwest into Amarillo is very rarely the best way to go unless you are coming from inside of Texas only.

Those of you using sites like Expedia or Orbitz or the like, just remember that Southwest, American, Air Tran and Frontier are rarely included on those sites. Most often, I have found the cheapest flights for me are to take American to/from Dallas and then AirTran from Dallas to wherever. You might check into that. And, you might check flights on different days. Often, Wednesdays are cheaper to fly.

Another thing to consider is that if you are flying in early, I am willing to make a trip to Oklahoma City on Tuesday and on the Monday after the RRRoundup. Often, flights to OKC are cheaper. They do require a lengthy car ride, though (about 3.5-4 hrs). But, it is an option.

SoutWest is running a sale to orlando from all over the country. Orlando is with in driving distance if you plan on renting a car. From Albany is only $139 each way...Carrie.

Does anyone know if Mary and Charlie will be at the TX event?

I doubt it. That is too far for them to travel. We are talking the other side of the state and I know Mary don't travel that far. She would have to leave her babies for too long.

Charlie has been pretty sick, so very unlikely. I will be making a LONG overdue trip to see them sometime in the next 6 to 8 weeks, tho.

I have my room booked and have already started collecting door prizes! Yippie!

Chris and I are off to Florida next week to finalize plans there and to check everything out. I will be delivering lots of supplies to Kate, so come the 1st of Feb, the Florida crew will be all set to go also.

This is so exciting.

I know the Texas folks are already well underway with plans for their cage for the contest - but they need more people to register in order to make sure their cage is the BEST!

Of course, those Florida folk are also waiting for more registrations in order to plan for THEIR cage to be the BEST!

I can't wait to see who wins. This is going to be tough to call.

Jen and I are leaving on Wednesday morning...we will drive as far as we can and then spend the night somewhere and should be to Amarillo sometime Thursday afternoon!!!
