| The costs I'm seeing from Orlando to Amarillo are between $350 and $450. | |

No No- no snow. I've been thinking about that with our current weather.

No No- no snow. I've been thinking about that with our current weather. Snow! Did someone say snow? We could have snowball fights. We could build a snow man. Does anyone know how to make snow ice cream? Please Val, have snow for me. Up to my knees. Please. Yep Tish. I've been watching the flights and so far the cheapest that I've found it 162 each way. If I don't catch a sail within about a week, I will go ahead and book.

No, not so odd. Amarillo is a VEERRRYYY small town - I believe that only 3 airlines fly in and out, but I could be wrong. I know for sure that Continental, American and Southwest fly in to Amarillo. Not sure about Delta?? - Quote :

Yea - too bad their food pretty much sucks - except the desserts. It is WAAAY overpriced for the quality. But, it is a fun place to shop. LOL. My sister worked at the Big Texan for years. It is very hard to miss the place if you are in Amarillo. For truly GREAT food, try Coyote Bluff - Best burgers ever IMO. It was also featured on Food Network. I've taken Shawna there before. Looks like a dive, but the food is great. We are now thinking maybe dinner in Amarillo on Thursday night (instead of Borger). ?????

| Continental had the most options for the days I was looking for. I don't think SouthWest had anything (unless you changed planes 2 or 3 times) from Orlando to Amarillo. I was surprised at the limited options, too. I thought Amarillo was bigger. lol | |

| Is there another airport near the gathering I can look into? I have a $200 Delta ticket so that's why flying them is so cost effective.
Sad to hear that about the Big Texan.

| You can try Lubbock or Oklahoma City. Both are quite a drive though. Lubbock will be about 3 hours and OKC about 4 - and just a reminder, I cannot make any guesses about the weather right now. If it is like the last week has been, then there will be ice on the roads. That will make a drive from OKC about 5 hours as you will have to take major freeway instead of the shorter route through back roads. The drive from Lubbock will be about the same, given extra time for bad weather and roads.
Praying for great weather, though!!!

| How late can we register? I might have a guest with me.
Ok, I messed up. The other day, I went out on the website and I booked a room. I knew better but it just didn't kick in at the time. I want to make sure the RRR gets the credit for that room rental. So how do we get from here to there?

You can just call the hotel and make sure they give you our group rate. Tell them you already have a reservation, but want to make sure it is in our block of rooms.
As for registering - you can register for another week or so, but we will close it a few days (up to a week) before the event. There are some reasons for this:
1) We have to pay extra for any adjustments to our catering order after this Friday (again). We really do need to know who is coming and have an accurate count.
2) Our Secret Suggie Gift exchange is not like any other at a gathering I have attended. You cannot just show up and participate. We MUST know ahead of time if you are participating, hence the question on the registration form.
3) We have 1 or more items for you guys that are custom made with your name/screen name on them. We need all names prior to the 12th, as we don't want anyone to feel left out. I can't even promise that items will get customized at all after the 9th. We will just have to see how much time is left in my days after that. Since I know no one wants to miss out on having these personalized items, it is really important that you register ASAP.
One can request a registration form and fill it out even if they have not paid the registration fee. We are open to working out payment arrangements with you.
