| Wish I could say I am coming. I was pretty sure I could talk Rick into letting me come, but he won't let me spend that kind of money on tickets. | |

| Are you talking about plane or registration? Because the registration includes all of your meals ;) I keep forgetting that part. Plane tickets, tell him it's a medical expense, for your mental health! | |

| I wish my gliders were as fashionable as Davie's.
Tell Rick you MUST come to the RRRoundup to give my gliders some fashion advice.

| I'd fly if I had someone to take care of my gliders for me - but I also really want to bring them with & get free exams for some, if not all. Lol. | |

| I'm all registered and can't wait to see all of you!!! Flights were cheaper now than they were a week ago. Yay! The only thing that will keep me home is a giant ice storm in the Panhandle or de-icing planes in Dallas so I'm praying for good weather! | |

| I really want to come. I mean I REALLY want to come. But with the new truck it is iffy. I need to do some serious negotiations with Charlie. I am also watching SouthWest Air. Sometimes they run very good internet specials. Ok, I have some wheeling and dealing to do. I think I'm up to the challenge. Davie, have you thought about making this a business trip? | |

| The only business trip that would even remotely budge my husband is a carpool with another person kind of trip! hint hint! Wait, how many hours would that be? Probably way more than I think. But Anita....tell me if you find some kind of amazing deal. There's a shred of hope if the price came down quite a bit. We had over $6,000 in unexpected animal emergency bills in 2009 so we are still trying to get over that sticker shock. Keep looking and so will I. Maybe something great will come along. | |

| Oh my! I just re-checked Southwest and the airfare climbed from $3 something last time I checked...to a little over $450. THAT just really made me sad as Rick and I were talking just now and he went from 'absolutely not' to 'maybe'.
Southwest is the cheapest usually...at least I think so....anybody else know of a cheaper airline?

| Keep an eye on the surrounding airports. Larger airports usually have more competition so you can ususally get cheaper flights. But you will be farther away and need to rent a car. So it is cheaper for me to fly in and out of Orlando than Daytona or Melbourne because Orlando is the larger airport with more competatie pricing. They are all about the same distance from me. If you are going to rent a car anyway, watch Albuquerque, Lubbock, and even Oklahoma City. OC is $79.00 each way right now from Orlando but it is 4 hours drive from Amarillo. The extra gas it would take to get there and back makes it a no go. But if Lubbock comes down a little, that might be doable. Lubbock was $119. each way this morning. | |

| Driving would take 2 full days each way. plus food and hotel. When you think of the gas, room and food, it is cheaper to fly. | |

| IF you guys fly into Lubbock, let me know and we can maybe work something out. I can do that drive in my sleep. Depends on what days you fly.
We might have some people coming from OKC, so you might could catch a ride with someone coming that way and not have to rent a car.
Andi (shyrascal) has paid her registration and she lives right outside OKC, so you might ask how she plans to get here and maybe plan to ride with her. The drive from OKC airport to my house is 3 1/2 hours if you know the shortcuts (which are very easy).

| I bought my tix through expedia, and it turned out to be a bit cheaper than southwest would have been. I fly AA to Houston, then Continental to Amarillo. Reverse it going home. So, try some of the travel sites, and see what you get. | |

| I tried Expedia, CheapTickest, Priceline....the cheapest so far is $399, that's with all the taxes and fees. Never know though, tomorrow it could change, just going to check every day. | |

| I tried all those, too, and got the best on American a little bit more than SW, but w/far fewer travel hours. I have a layover in DFW w/the only flight to AMA on Thursday aft that arrives 6:30 pm. Drat. But that was the best I could do. Lubbock was a little cheaper but w/many more travel hours. | |
