| Davie, what airport is closest to you? WPB to AMA, $380 (incl all fees, Thurs thru Sun) Ft Lauderdale is roughly the same, Miami seems to be the highest!
I am very excited, and can't wait to meet everyone!

| I am right in between both Ft Lauderdale and WPB. That is still way too much for me though. That plus everything else it would cost. Keep watching though if you don't mind, I will too...if I can get it down another $100, I'm fairly sure it would fly with Rick. I'd be so happy too, I've never been on a real vacation either. I tried once but it got cut short the very next day it started. lol
What's crazy is I just got my stepmom a ticket from St Louis to here (round trip) the first week in March and it was only $262 total. I don't know why TX is so much higher? I guess everything IS bigger in TX..including the cost of airfare!

| What about airline miles? I have some I could maybe send you for American, if you have some, maybe it would pay for half of your ticket? I'll see how many I have and let you know, maybe that would help.
**I have 15,000 miles. | |

| Awe Shawna!!! That is soooo sweet of you. But I couldn't take those from you...well not unless you had thousands of them and wouldn't miss a few...but I'd feel bad using those, they are yours to go somewhere fun. I VERY much appreciate your offer though. LOL I never go anywhere to have airline miles. I'm telling ya, I'm the least 'wordly' person I know. Opportunity for travel just never presents itself I guess. | |

| Shawna gets sent all over the world by her job - one of the perks of working herself to death the rest of the year. She has been to Portugal and Hawaii in the last few years. So, I say, take her miles. Plus, I know for a fact that Shawna would not have offered if she did not REALLY mean it. | |

| You could also share a room which would make the trip less expensive, too. | |

| LOL here's another funny....I'm the only person alive who doesn't have text. I can receive but not reply or send. I'll call them and see what it translates to. Thanks Shawna...oh and I'll call you later too, have to go get my son and then finish painting the porch roof before it rains. Big Huggie! | |

| It depends on the flight. I think the last trip I scheduled for my boss was to Nevada and it was just over 30.000 miles and a fee of $33. | |

| 30,000 frequent flyer miles made it $33 off the airfare, Kate? | |

| Hey wasn't there a website where you could name your price offer and they accept it or not? | |

| I think Kate is saying that with 30,000 miles, his airfare totaled only $33. And, WOW!!! | |

And, WOW!!! Yeah...that's what I meant. I need to call and get my flight soon...as soon as I find out what day I can leave. I'm using air miles, so I'll know soon. I'll be leaving from Orlando, but it should be comparable to more southern airports.

| Sorry it took so long to answer you. I haven't been able to get on the site (slowwwww today) I am now at the office, and have the afternoon booked with conference calls. I am free after 5 to talk. Most days though, you can call any time. If I can't talk, I won't answer the phone. I am usually up and moving by 7:30 my time during the week. On the week ends...more like noon. | |

| Anita, do you really thinks it's more to fly then to drive?
I get weird-ed out about flying into Texas....my friends keep telling me about the air pockets there when you fly in.
I do have a free $200 ticket from delta because May I let them bump me from an overbooked flight, but I doubt $200 will cover RT Orlando to Texas. What's the nearest airport to the gathering?
I gotta run the #'s....plane ticket, hotel cost, suggie sitter, car rental (I'm finally old enough to rent a car on my own....25), food cost, registration.

| Closest airport is Amarillo (Rick Husband International Airport)
You do not HAVE TO rent a car. We have shuttle service planned Wed. through Monday. Everything happens in the hotel, so no need to leave if you don't have to..... OH, and there is always the chance of ice and snow, so if you are not accustomed to driving in that type of weather (us north Texans are very adept at it), then you certainly do not want to rent a car. That is totally your choice, of course, but we are on hand to get you everywhere you need to go and anyplace you might WANT to go (though it is hard to imagine where that might be in Borger, Texas. LOL). It is an hour drive from the airport to the hotel in Borger.
Food cost - remember that Dinner Friday, all 3 meals on Saturday and breakfast Sunday are included in registration costs.
We would love to see ALL of Florida come!!!!!
