GLIDERS THAT WILL STAY AT RESCUE HOME
These are gliders that have come into the rescue system and the rescue home has committed to providing their medical or behavioral care for the remainder of their lives. These gliders have unusual or severe issues that will require special treatment or care for the remainder of their lives. Yes, the rescuer falls in love with them, and YES, they do become pets. These gliders are a financial strain on the rescue home, but each rescue home has voluntarily accepted that responsibility. We provide this explanation for you to assist you in making your choice.

Travis - His colon is too small where it connects to the rectum and it balloons out going back in to his body. It.is painfull for him to defecate ...so he has to be on a stool softener for the rest of his life and wear an ecollar

Mocha & Java - Mocha has a severe seizure disorder. Java has an open wound that just will not heal.

Daiquiri & Jackie Chan - Daiquiri has significant neurological issues. Jackie Chan is paralyzed.

Katy & Aesop - Katy has an inoperable tumor behind her pouch.

Egan and Shandy: Shandy is an sm; Egan has severe dental problems requiring constant attention and special diet

Kiah and Keegan: Kiah has a chronic open wound from a tail amputation. She's undergone numerous surgeries and it cannot be repaired. She is an sm and a prime candidate for infection. She has ongoing issues with difficulty pooping because of the modified anatomy from the surgeries.

Cinnamon, Toast & Diesel - Cinnamon and Diesel struggle with repeated facial abscesses. Toast has severe anxiety.

Venus & Cheddar - Venus has mild mobility issues. Cheddar has ongoing periodontal issues stemming from Scurvy.

Dimples & Dozer - can't leave rescue home due to agreement with previous owner.

Wafer, Wrigley & Wonka - Wafer is 13 years old and has a seizure disorder. Moving her again would not be in her best interest. Wrigley and Wonka are her children, and may be placed up for adoption if/when Wafer passes away.

Dewey and Ludo: Dewey was from a mill breeder and has neurological problems. He was sold to his previous owner at 15 grams. They got him healthy, found a friend but couldn't keep them. Owners requested they live out their lives here.

Doodlebug and Sniglet: Doodlebug had a severe facial infection causing loss of an eye. She has recurring dental problems. They are both estimated to be over 10 years old.

Holly, Ivy and Gibbs: Gibbs was abandoned by his owner. He has severe anxiety. It took him months to voluntarily leave his cage. He now will come out with me, but does not react well when unfamiliar people are around. Holly and Ivy became his cage mates which helped him tremendously.

Nugget & Chowder - Nugget has mobility issues stemming from a broken hip that healed improperly. He is prone to falling. He also has a significant pattern of hair loss on his tail and back legs for which we can currently find no cause.

The outpouring of support and love shown to the rescue families in this gift exchange has been amazing! So many of you are incredibly generous and I could not be happier that all of the rescue families in this exchange will be getting spoiled.

This morning we found ourselves at a point that we only had one more rescue family that was not matched with a partner for the exchange, and one more week to go for sign ups!

So, I contacted the rescue homes and have been able to add a few more names to the lists above. IF YOU HAVE NOT SIGNED UP FOR THE EXCHANGE AND WOULD LIKE TO, THERE ARE STILL RESCUE FAMILIES AVAILABLE.

One more week to go, then I will match everyone up and you all can get started buying/sewing/creating for your buddy and their rescue family! I know some of you are very anxious!

Again, I love you all and could not be more humbled and pleased at your support and love!
