I highly recommend Dr. Brauer for reliable sugar glider care. He has taken care of all 8 of my gliders including my southern flying squirrel. He goes to a lot of vet conventions and works with other exotic vets there. His office refers sugar glider owners to me for more help and education. He is a true vet that cares more about the animals & their well being more than focusing on the money.

Some prices:

Office visit - $42
Fecal Smear - $11
Fecal Float - $12.50
Urinalysis - $24

Dr Lokai has treated a couple of my gliders. My main vet is Dr. Brauer and Dr. Lokai is my secondary vet but is very knowledgeable in gliders and is wonderful with them. He is a personal friend with Dr. Brauer. Whenever i'm in Dr. Lokai's office, if he has someone on staff that has never seen or know what a sugar glider is, he will have me tell them & educate them about gliders.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEN BOTH OF THESE VETS BECAUSE OF THE CAGE, ATTENTION AND KNOWLEDGE OF SUGAR GLIDERS.

I have not had any personal experience with this vet. However I have 2 personal friends who have used this vet numerous times for neuters with no problems. I know this vet can do neuters well at an affordable price if money is an issue but you need a male neutered.

As far as glider care, I have no knowledge as to how far or much his experience in that area extends. I do know that he is a good alternative as I said for getting a glider netered for an affordable price.

Neuters - $75

Dr. Dan Meakin is the exotics specialist who treats sugar gliders. The exotics specialist location is the Anderson clinic. He stated he does laser neutering and the price quoted to me was $120 (may vary).

I went to this vet for my first visit as I live in northern KY and the prices quotes to me were: $45 for office visit, $20 for fecal test. I saw Dr. Dan and was not as impressed with the treatment there. We ran a fecal (clean) and he did not proactively take a close or long look at my glider. He told me gliders don't need nail trims because "they are too small" and I felt he didn't address some of my questions or concerns. He also did not go into detail asking about the history of my glider or current conditions. I would advise to use them if you have to or for an emergency but I was not personally moved to go back after my one visit.
