Nicole Williams - Keep Away From Her!

I got some horrible news this morning... (tlc_in_chitown) from Windy City Gliders got an emergency call at 9:30pm last night that 2 of her gliders that she sold to a girl on Feb 14th were acting funny.

Tami had to go up to the Waukegan Naval Base and check them because the new owner was on her watch and refused to take them to the vet.

she got there and when she saw them and she just couldn't believe it! They were a breeding pair that weighed 167g and 155 g when they went to there new owner and when Tami rushed them to the vet this morning, they were 55g and 67g with a still born on the end of the moms tail. Mom was seizing when Tami got there and after several hours of the vet trying all they could they told Tami they would not recover and so Tami had to put them down.

The vet said they died of dehydration and malnutrition which caused brain damage and organ failure. Tami reported them to the police and they told her they couldn't do anything because she is in the Navy. I am working from my end with my daughter who is in the Airforce to see if we can report her thru the military.
This girl is now looking for more gliders on Hoobly this morning!!!!!!!!!

Tami had screened these people, kept in touch twice a week and thought she had found good glider parents.  This girl outright lied to her and told her the gliders were fine everytime she spoke to them!  Tami is devestated at what happened to them and will be doing everything in her power to make this right for the gliders!  We are in contact with officials and people at the Naval Base and will keep everyone updated.

PLEASE - nobody sell gliders to this girl, she is a menace to the animal community period!  Her name is Nicole Williams, she is stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base in Waukegan, IL.  I will post her phone number soon - it has an east coast prefix.  I left for work and forgot it but wanted to get the word out to everyone.

I just came from Glider CENTRAL, & someone starved a breeding pair to death! CSteele wrote to everyone that someone adopted them from Tami, & Tami went to get them, took them to a vet, & they were so sick, she had to put them down! She does have pics,, the before & after of these little ones. This needs to be seen & read, so no one will let her get any more gliders from us. I posted this also on glider gossip.

I'm so sad for Tami. We do our best to screen and select homes we think are right. When we do all that, and something like this happens anyway - it can really make a person start to question themselves.

Disgusting individual should never, ever have another pet, but ya know what? she will get one from somewhere, my heart aches thinking of it.

If anyone talks to Tami, ask her if she thinks it would do any good to talk to a lawyer. She might be able to file charges and then Nicole would have this on her record permantly. I know Tami doesn't care about the money and would rather have the gliders back healthy and whole. But people who do this to animals will usually also do this to children, and If Tami can get this attached to Nicole's record, it could also alert agencies in the future that might be investigating her. Maybe also contact the SPCA and HSUS. It is so unbelievable that anyone would do this to an animal...any animal.
