Cremation after Necropsy - The SUGAR Group Necropsy Effort

If you choose to have your glider cremated, you will receive your loved one's ashes in a container inside of a beautiful drawstring bag along with a beautiful poem that makes us all cry.  It really is lovely and I wish I had a picture to share. 

I have now had 4 sugar gliders that I have sent for necropsy and histopathology for The SUGAR Group and I am so thankful that the cremation option is now available.  I will be receiving the remains of the last 3 that have passed.  It can take a while for the ashes to be returned, but I know the wait is worth it and I am anxious to be able to hold my precious gliders again.  They will always be in my heart, but it is nice to know that I will also have something physical to remember them by.
