Im Posting this New Forum for People Need to BEWARE of Debra Southern Ramos, for selling Cage Sets & Toys that are DANGEROUS!!

i hope this is the right place to post this complaint....I am an admin on another glider group and was a member on another before i started my own group, i honestly left that group because i was standing behind someone who was being bashed for taking peoples money for Cage Set and not giving them there items for 2 or 3 mts...(boy was i fooled). This person is Debra Southern Ramos, i have been getting private messages from ALOT of people who have paid for items and not receiving them for mts...I even received one today she paid for her set in November and still hasnt received it.....I dont like DRAMA and i dont know what to do about this so i guess everyone can post there complaints as well cause im sure its gonna go BOOM when this is read....So please EVERYONE BEWARE of Debra make sure IF you order from her you meet her in person to get your stuff or you WILL NOT get it for 3, 4 or whenever months. OK im done with my rant....i dont want to give names unless they say its ok, but im sure they ALL will come forth here now!!!

Amber Parchym I have to ask.. I think I know which group this is, but my memory is BAD. Is this the Debra who was breeding unlineaged gliders and SOLD some to someone else in the group and TOLD them they were lineaged.. or perhaps it was Debra that BOUGHT them and thought they had lineage? Sorry again, my memory is not so great.

Amanda Henderson Okay here is my story. First I want to say I took up for Debra a few times because I felt bad for her in the beginning but the more she hurts people and lies the less sorry I feel. I've never bought anything from her, but I received a cage set as a gift from someone and they ordered it from Debra when I received my gift I was happy it was wonderful but Debra sent me a message the next day saying not to use the tunnel she had made because it wasn't safe someone elses had unraveled in the washing machine/dryer so I didn't use it just the rest of the set and everything looked safe until one night when I heard a crash from the cage and two crabbing baby girls. There was a toy that had been made from a candy ball, I didn't realize it til that night but the ball had been glued together, well when two suggies, put all their little toys and blankies in there to take a nap, the weight was too much for the glue and the bottom of the ball fell to the floor of the cage with the girls in it. Thank God they weren't hurt. I sent Debra a message telling her what happened and to please not use glue on the balls again it was unsafe she messaged me back that I was the only one who got glue everyone elses go links holding the ball together. I don't know why mine was the only one with glue and I don't care I just know that her cage sets might be pretty but they aren't safe.

Beth Halbrook Acrylic can be very toxic. I would advise anyone with acrylic labeled toys to remove the paint immediately. In art class they tell you to NEVER finger paint with acrylic paints because of the heavy metals in them, that's how Van Gogh went crazy and cut off his ear.

I am so excited because I have gotten a small sewing corner for myself in the house, some of my fleece is on a shelf and I have all my toy making supplies ready to go. I love making cage sets and toys. My passion is to make suggies and their slaves happy. Their safety is my priority so if you have any questions please feel free to ask me about your concerns. My goal was to have pre-mades but I have always stayed so busy with the home schooling and orders that I got I was NEVER able to offer that. Well......that is about to change. Decorative stitches, particularly on cage sets but also on the type of bonding pouches she makes, is just not safe nor worth the risk. Her sets look super cute, but that stitching scares the crap out of me!

Amanda Henderson yup sara your not the first one to point out the decorative stitching and her cage sets are super cute and if she had taken advice and changed things this wouldn't be happening now but she refuses to change even tho she has been give plenty of chances sad when people just don't want to listen.

Brittany Rena Holestin & this is her feedback from ebay. If you look, most of ALL the feedback as a seller of cage sets/toys are NEGATIVE... Although there hasn't been any recent feedback because once she started getting a lot of negative feedback she quit selling on there.

Amanda Hostetter I will add that I ordered a cage set from her and prepaid it in JULY and come september I still did not have it. I asked repeatedly for a refund as I paid thru PayPal thankfully and then she offered a cage set for free as she "felt bad" and i have YET to receive it. I know people are busy, but I sure would not sell someone something and then never get it to them. that is wrong and not good for business for sure.

Beth Halbrook Well, fortunately it looks like that owl pouch with vine stitching is old, posted in October, and it doesn't look like she's posted any with embellishment stitches since. At least we know THAT probably isn't an issue. I did see more eggs though, and they weren't attached with clips. I'm betting she uses glue on all of her eggs.

Amanda Henderson I know luckly so far its held up to 4 machine washings, 2 handwashings and 4 spins in the dryer but its put up for the time being until I figure out if I want to wast time and money to have it repaired or if I just want to have another cupcake cage set done later.

Amanda Henderson oh that too but I keep the girls' nails so short I don't really worry about that as much as the other things that have happened to other people with this same set, like the stitching unravaling and ripping apart due to washing or the just being in the cage. there were 3 identical sets made like this all cupcakes and all of them have had some degree of problems mine just seems to be holding up better for some reason.

Tonja Michelle Mitchell She still does the deco stitching(even after repeatedly lying to ppl that she no longer uses it) I received one from her in early Feb that was from the gift exchange we had on our site in Dec. Granted, she wasnt the one who got my name, another girl did & asked her to do the set for me. You would think that being as I was one of the VERY FEW who tried to help this woman, that I would have received an amazing set but it is quite the opposite! the deco stitching is already fraying on the bridge in a few places (it hasnt even made it into any of my cages, its in a corner in my bedroom floor actually) & the 2 triangle shelves, well, they arent so triangle! & the toys included, seriously have NO purpose & will in no way stimulate them considering they have no way of safely climbing on them! I will post pics above since they are on my phone.

Tonja Michelle Mitchell I do have ONE set I purchased from her & I give her props, the set is ADORABLE but it still doesnt right a BUNCH of wrongs! Only reason I had no problems getting the set is for the simple fact that I knew to pick it up from her personally. I WAS supposed to receive a barn toy in the set but Im not gonna waste my time worrying about it considering she uses acrylic paint to on it to paint designs to match the cage set so my suggies are better off without it.

Nicole Baumer I too received a set from her for the gift exchange. I never did any other prior business with her. I was fearful of her quality so would not order from her. One of my reasons- was because of her use of the decorative stitching that I had brought to het attention of being unsafe MULTIPLE TIMES. Her only responce to me was simply that she had been doing it for yrs. Well I was the recipient of one of the other COTTON cupcake sets. I put it in the wash the day I received the set (to me...that is ONE of he best ways to judge quality sewing, with cotton. Once the set was dry, I pulled it out to inspect it. Immediately, I noticed a huge amount of loose strings on the inside (fleece side) this was due to not turning the cotton fabric and trimming it. (sadly the pictures are no longer on my phone, but multiple others saw pictures) I took that tunnel and pulled it apart, and made a 2nd matching pouch for the set. I checked the other pieces, and was satisfied that the other pieces should be safe...but continued to watch the set very close wile in my girls cage. This set was in my cage for approximately a week, with daily checks...and on the last day of its life in the said cage...I was saying good morning to my girls, when I noticed a few strings on the bottom of the pouch MADE BY DEBRA- that was the original pouch for the set. On closer exam, the corner...where one would do boxed corners, the stitching had came apart, the fabric frayed, and a nice glider entrance was now there! I checked other pieces, and the corner hammocks were beginning to show small holes at the sew line as well. I am very unhappy with this set, but due to the fact it was a gift I did not sre the point in, bringing it to the makers attention. Here is the link to pictures-
