| OK, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question. If not please move it for me.
I am getting ready to go to a gathering and I am getting laundry caught up. I notice some of my pouches are getting ragged looking and I need to replace them. But some of the pouches have little fuzzy balls hanging on them and some don't. Can someone explain which kinds of fleece won't get the fuzzy balls. Or is there something that I can do to prevent the fuzzy balls? And is there a way to get rid of the fuzzy balls once my pouches have them?

| Anti-Pill fleece would be the least likely to get them.
You can buy a lint shaver (I think that's what they are called) which is supposed to remove pilling. I have never tried one though, so I'm not sure how effective they are.

| I also don't dry my cage sets. I know it sounds OCD but I lay mine flat or hang them in my closet, damp, then store them once they're dry. It keeps the pilling from happening as fast. Also why I like cotton/fleece. Cotton looks brand new when the fleece side gets pilled up. I've noticed the cheaper the fleece, the faster it pills. | |

| Davie...You?.. OCD...Noooooo!
Maybe that's got something to do with it, because I've always put mine in the dryer without any fabric softener sheets because I don't want the fragrance on the glider stuff. But some seem to have lots of lil balls and some don't have hardly any. So I tought it might be the different kind of fleece and I'm not sure how to buy new pouches that won't have the fuzzys. I will have to see if I can find a fleece shaver for the bad ones. Or maybe not, I just might toss them and get new ones. I don't use alot of fleece with the cages on the back porch; usually flannel, but since we are going to stay in a hotel, I am breaking out the fleece ones. Thanks guys for the info.

| LOL Yes me. I know my OCD startled you.
Just next time you buy pouches, whoever it's from, ask the if they use anti ill and where they get their fleece from. So Anti Pill and not from Walmart. In my humble opinion. I like JoAnn's anti pill.

| I'll be honest and say I HATE working with anti-pill. But, I do it for customers. Not so much for my own stuff cause I hate working with it so much.
Anti pill, IMO is just "already pilled". LOL
It will pill also if you have gliders who are heavy nesters. There is nothing you can do to avoid fleece pilling if you have heavy nesters (those that dig and scratch and flop all about to get comfortable.
I have found the best way to cut down on it in pouches is to provide a lot of small little blankies (rather than larger ones). I provide many different little pieces of fleece (like 2X2 or 3X3 inches). That seems to work best.

| Val, I'm SO with you! I detest working with anti-pill fleece! Ugh!!! Joann's really does have some good quality stuff, though. My own stuff, now over a year old, is still standing up and I can only remember one fleece in particular that pilled in a terrible way. | |

| LOL To me, I'd rather see a zillion teeny tiny pills than a few pills on say, blizzard fleece. Makes me feel like it lasts longer. And it's fluffy. | |
