Christine Kolmstetter, DVM - Exotic Specialist, Dr.Kolmstetter@caringhandsvetlv.com
Dr. Kolmstetter has a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in biochemistry
and nutrition. She received her DVM degree in 1991 from North Carolina State University.

Dr. Kolmstetter has done numerous neuters for us, has also treated mating wounds, abscesses, and an eye enucleation.
She is very knowledgable on gliders. She did a lot of research on the use of chlomipramine to curb over-grooming.

Carlos Varela D.V.M., Hospital Manager
Carlosdvm@caminoalnorteanimalhospital.com

Dr. Varela pulled off a real miracle with little Padme, who developed an abscess after a mating wound. When he was cleaning out the abscess, all of the skin sloughed-off of her head exposing her skull. He did wet-dry bandage treatments for two weeks. After we took her home he prescribed saline washes, antibiotics, and open wound honey therapy. After six months scar tissue formed to cover her skull. She is alive today because of Dr. Varela.
