PostSubject: Lima Beans   Mon May 10, 2010 1:20 pm

I was wondering if anyone fed Lima beans. Why and why not?

When I was out of town my mom got a package of mixed veggies with lima beans in it. She used it because she never heard me speak of lima beans before. So they all ate it one night over a wk ago and no problems. I'm wondering if there was any truth to this lima bean thing.

Should I keep picking out the lima beans or let them eat it?

I feed them on occasion - when I use a frozen veggie mix that has them in it. I never pick them out.

The whole business about lima beans being toxic is a myth - at least for the way we use them. I would not feed them raw and unprocessed. But, the way they come in our frozen mixes, they are not harmful.
