Hi all! I feed mealies to my gliders that have been gut-loaded with either oatmeal or wheat germ. I would like to feed them crickets BUT I see that the Fluker's gut-load food they use at Petsmart/Petco is CORN BASED! I heard that sugar gliders can/will die if fed corn-raised live insects. Is this true or false? I ordered some mealworms from grubco.com based on an experienced glider owner's advice. Also looking for another reputable website to order some roaches from.

PS- I am going to order a couple of hissing cockroaches and watch my little babies destroy them :) My 7 year old son really gets into this part of suggie ownership :) lol

Feeding insects that have been fed corn based products increases the risk of Aflatoxin. Camilla has a good blurb about Aflatoxin's on her web site Camilla's Vita Mealies.

Sorry but I am not sure where to buy Roaches. I have only ever fed Camilla's meal worms and Grubco.

I am considering purchasing some Dubia Roaches and breeding them. I was talking to another glider lover and there is a real lack of sugar glider friendly insects in the market. I need to do some research first... I ordered from Grubco and they love their super size meal worms, so that was a great suggestion :)
