Val, Shawna, sister Jamie and mama Val and everyone else I missed....

Thank you for putting it all together. It ran so smooth, the hotel as FANTASTIC (staff included) and it was so thoughtful of you to get them a card (can I steal that idea?). You guys had so many great new ideas, loved the quiz Friday night and even though I hate bingo (just makes me nervous) it was a cute game for everyone to play.

I really liked the different topics for dinner and I actually think we learned something from eachother that night.

The other Chris was a big help to have at a newbie table. It was interesting to hear how her experience as a newbie was so different than many of us had years ago. I learned a lot from her. So glad she met you and glad to see she has changed her name ;)

Val, tell your mom I need that butterscotch pie recipie. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Who cares about chocolate when you have butterscotch.

My only complaint about the gathering itself was the weather. Can we order up some sunshine for next year?

I really, REALLY had a great time, and I did not expect to. I expected to be so busy that I had no time for fun. BUT, I really enjoyed EVERY minute.

I laughed so hard so many times that I still hurt.

I totally underestimated this group of people - with the bingo cards, with the secret suggie gifts, with the discussions at dinner on Saturday night. I am so impressed and so pleased with the way the weekend went. Thank you EVERYONE for making it something special to me.

Mom says she will give me recipes to post for all the dishes she has been asked about.

No medication needed next year. I learned a lot in every conversation I had - be it about gliders, Australia, or about someone I call friend. I am grateful for every moment.

I hope everyone returns next year. We still have a list of ideas that we did not use this year, some of which will make their debut next year. We are even considering moving to a bit later in the year (March or April) to make the weather better for everyone.

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed myself and every person who attended! It was a fantastic event (even if I did have to say goodbye to some of my favorite rescues EVER).\

P.S. - Alicia - I gave my mom some of the chocolate bacon. Her response was "why does Alicia hate me? What did I do?" I guess she did not like it.

You have to blame the chocolate bacon on Nancy. It was.... interesting. If I hadn't been told about the bacon I don't think I would have guessed it as an ingrediant.

Warmer would have been better but then the FL people wouldn't have gotten their snow, so I guess it was needed.

Can't wait to see what goodies you have in store for next year.

Yummmmmm...I LOVED the butterscotch desert....can't wait for that receipe!! Oh and the Santa Fe Soup!! oh and the, and the, and the...it was all awesome! I tried to move in with Val's mom

I liked the bacon chocolate! It was nummy. And so was that butterscotch dessert and the santa fe soup and well, pretty much everything! I had such a wonderful time and learned quite a bit!!

I am so sad that I didn't get to say goodbye to a lot of people! :( I don't even think I got to say goodbye to my roomies - unless I just don't remember cuz I was sleeping. to all who I didn't get to give hugs to before leaving!

It's a specialty Chocolate Candy bar with real smoked bacon pieces in Milk or Dark Chocolate.

Hmmmm...well, I'd probably try it but I don't know if I'd like it! I do love me some bacon....and chocolate...
