The 2012 RRRoundup will be held at the Homewood Suites by Hilton - Tulsa South

RRRoundup Attendees booking with the SUGAR Group's group rate will enjoy the following benefits:

* 1 Bedroom Suite (with 1 king bed or 2 queen beds) at $109 per night

* A one time PER STAY pet fee of $50

* EACH room features a full kitchen and a living area

* High speed internet

* Complimentary hot breakfast

* And for those arriving on Thursday, there will be complimentary dinner and drinks as well.

When booking, it is NECESSARY that you book with the SUGAR Group's room block or you will be charged additonal fees. You may book your room by contacting the hotel at the number listed above. It is best if you ask for Narmeen Shaker to ensure that you get the special rates we have negotiated.

Reservations MUST be made before March 1, 2012 to guarantee these rates.

* We realize that this room rate is higher than our previous RRRoundup rates. However, these rooms are large enough to allow for you to join with several other people to share the room costs. We have a few cots available if you really want to add more people to a room. Each room has the number of beds you book AND a sofa - and many of them are sleeper sofas. So, find some roommates and come join us!!!


*** Please note that you might be able to get a better room rate by booking through their website. HOWEVER, if you do this, you will have to pay in advance and the payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. Additionally, if you book outside of our block/group rate, then you will be charged their regular pet fee (if you have gliders with you), which is $75 per day. Please make your own judgment about what is best for you, but if you do book through their website, please make sure you let Val know.

I have questions!

If you get there Thursday night, are there Friday activities?

Do you know how far it is to the airport and the best way to get to/from the hotel from there?

Do people leave Sunday or Monday?

I've haven't been to a gathering in the 5 years I've been hanging around (and still don't even know if this one is doable) but I don't know how these things work and if people usually go early or stay late?

Yes, there are Friday activities. The free vet visits and the toy repair/making will happen Friday during the day. Then Friday evening is the dinner and pouch Bingo. SUGAR Group staff will be arriving on Thursday for the event. We may even add some new things, you never know.

Depending on when you arrive, we will likely have someone to pick you up at the airport. All people who are flying in and need these arrangements should PM Texas T here on TSS. She is the SUGAR Group's event coordinator and will let us know what needs to be done and when. It is best if you arrive in the afternoon or evening on Thursday night or any time on Friday.

From the hotel I have this information:
From Tulsa Intl Airport take Hwy. 11E to I-244E. Follow I-244E to US 169S and continue to the 71st St. exit. Turn left onto 71st St. heading east. Turn left onto S Garnett Rd. and the hotel is on the right. Total Miles: 11 Miles Total Time: 15 Minutes Taxi 22.00 USD

Just booked our reservation. since we are flying and no gliders I did it on line and ended up paying $347 for 4 nights. Averages out to $86 a night. I also had to prepay and it's non refundable but hey so is my plane ticket so I am committed to go now.
We are flying in Thursday afternoon and are renting a car so if anyone is coming in around that time and needs a ride let me know.

Holy crap! The cheapest flight I can find is $400 and that's with me flying out of Denver! It is the Tulsa airport, right? Are there any others close?

I just checked, and if you were to fly into Oklahoma City on Thursday and out on Sunday, then I could pick you up and drop you off on my way through each way.

Flying on Frontier airlines from Denver to OKC, your flights would total under $200. Check it out!

I can pick up in OKC after 1:00 ish on Thursday and drop off by noon-ish on Sunday. Offer is good for anyone. Usually flying to OKC is cheaper. It just means you have to spend an hour and a half in the car with me. Hotel/Venue Information 947565

Oh and one more question...if you go to the hotel's site, you can get advance purchase rooms for $99. Are those different? I'm not bringing any pets so I'm not concerned about a discounted pet fee.

I did the same thing booked hotel on line. Val told me to do it since I wasn't bringing gliders. The hotel rooms are the same we are saving on the pet fee.
