ANNIE, OAKLEY, CROCKET & BOONE are a bonded family seeking a family to bond to.

This family of mom, dad and twin male/female joeys is strongly bonded to each other and must not be separated. They are all pretty young - with Annie & Crocket (mom & dad) at about 1 1/2 years and the joeys are 10 1/2 months old now (wow! Time flies!) This family was badly neglected and never handled, so they are slowly learning to trust. They have made great progress since arriving in my home, but would still need a very dedicated, patient and understanding new mommy or daddy.

ANNIE
came with a tail injury. Her entire tail had to be amputated due to a horrific wheel accident. Her new mommy or daddy must be aware that the skin on the tip of her tail is very thin and may open up from time to time. She has had several surgeries to correct this problem, and I have opted to NOT put her through that any more. Her tail will open up, but there is little to no blood and she remains free of infection with only a little change in cleaning schedule. I will provide her new vet with all information and her new parent with training on treating it should this happen again. Annie is slowly becoming more friendly as I continue to check her tail each day.

OAKLEY is the friendliest of the family and enjoys her 1:1 time with me each evening. She is very determined and cannot be distracted when she wants to explore something. I will remove her, and she will go right back. LOL. She can often be seen rolling on the floor of the cage or on a hammock while she wrestles with toys. She is a ton of fun. Oakley is a chewer, so I do not recommend that this family ever live in a rept.

CROCKET is the protector of the family and is usually found sleeping on top in the pouch. I think he must find me boring, because he pretty much ignores me no matter how much I try to bug him.
Any History Buffs in the House? 246812 He loves treat time in the morning and works hard to pull all sorts of things into his pouch. I have never caught him tail carrying, but I suspect he is the one to bring all the goodies to the pouch.

BOONE is the crabber of the bunch - and he loves to prove it. He is very skittish and will run or jump away any time he sees hands. He will quickly come back, however, once he realizes those hands have a treat in them. He has made great progress in the last few months. He plays hard every night and very strongly believes that toys do NOT belong in the toy box. He is also a chewer, so again, reptarium not recommended.

These gliders would really be a blessing to any home that takes them in - not only were they mill bred babies who were neglected and no longer wanted, but then Annie suffered such a terrible injury and subsequent surgery. So, they are just waiting to be treated like royalty and spoiled even more than they are here. The deserve the very best, and I will be looking for the very BEST mommy or daddy for them!

These babies are still seeking their forever home. They are still precious and making progress.

This family received this amazing gift from a Glider Angel Tree Angel last Christmas.

These things will be leaving with them when they go to their new home. I'm so jealous of it!

A FANTASTIC UPDATE!

No, we have not found a forever home for these babies, BUT ANNIE'S TAIL IS COMPLETELY HEALED UP! She has done amazing, and not only is the tail healed up, but it is furred over as well. :yay: Any History Buffs in the House? 540206 Any History Buffs in the House? 540206

This means that any future new home for her will not have to worry about watching it closely and they can just enjoy their new baby!

Look closely in these pictures and you can see her perfectly fleshy and furry tail

And this one is just cute. This is Crockett & Boone - who always sleep on top to protect the girls (LOL)

Annie, Oakley, Crockett and Boone are making great progress. They are still as cute as ever and everyone is still doing very well health wise.

These really are some very cute gliders who LOVE treat time in the morning. They will make great pets for some lucky person.

Progress with these babies has been very good. They are ready for a new home and want so much to be loved and adored by a forever mommy.

I can now feed them treats by hand without a single nip or crab. I can stick my hand in their pouch and give them scritches and love without a crab or anyone trying to bury their head or hide from me. During tent time, they run all over me, then jump off to find something fun to explore, then back to me over and over. I can clip nails with only a few crabs or nips on occasion (which is normal for all gliders). They are sweet gliders who just needed some time and patience to come out of their shells.

I am still seeking a wonderful forever home for these cuties. If interested, shoot me a PM or email.

The answer to this question has not and will not change. As you were told in chat, in PM, above in this thread, and here: -i-am-looking-to-take-in-a-rescue-who-needs-a-forever-home, You MUST, MUST, MUST start by completing an application.

To be considered for adoption,..... request my application by sending an email to pickardsgal@yahoo.com
There is absolutely no other way to get started. You must request the application, fill it out and return it to me. That will get you started.
