Blue Bald Spot? Empty
PostSubject: Blue Bald Spot?   Blue Bald Spot? Icon_minitimeMon Nov 22, 2010 4:26 pm

A friend of mine a while ago had her male's bald spot turn blue. I thought it was weird and didn't know what caused it so I kind of dismissed it and told her to keep me updated if she figured anything out. Eventually it went away I believe. And he's fine.

Well I now have a male that has a bald spot that's turned blue. Does anyone know what causes this?
Feel free to move this thread if it's in the wrong section....

Here's a couple pictures of my male Phoenix:

It is not blue. It is actually excess clear secretions against the gray hair on his head. It makes it appear blue. For some reason he is secreting more oil than normal and not cleaning it off as well, so the secretions extend to the hair around the gland and kinda pull the hair in (kinda like a glider comb over LOL). It will pass with time and go back to looking "bald"

lol well thank you. I guess that resolves that issue. I've never had that happen before!

Could it be because he is young and still maturing that he's secreting more than normal?
